The Sri Sathya Sai General Hospital staff had prayed to Bhagawan to Bless the Hospital with a visit and Swami had agreed to go there today. Arriving at Sai Kulwant Hall while the Bhajans went on at around 5.20 pm, Swami went directly to the Bhajan Hall, accepted Arati there and then proceeded in His car to the Hospital. He was there for around 45 minutes. Dr. Safaya, the Director of both the General Hospital and the Super Speciality Hospital, spoke. The doctors and staff sang some songs for Swami. After some interactions with them, Bhagawan returned to His residence.

This morning, Bhagawan Blessed the X and XII class students of the Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School whose All-India Board exams are coming up. Arriving at Sai Kulwant Hall after 9.30 am while the Bhajans went on, Swami came outside and asked for the Bhajans to stop after around 15 minutes. Bhagawan Blessed the Hall tickets and pens of the students and then listened while the students sang Him songs. He moved towards the girl students and they too sang Him some songs. Then He moved back to the stage area and the boys presented their "gratitude program" with short speeches and so on, without microphones. It was around 11 o'clock when Swami went to the Bhajan Hall, accepted Arati and returned to His residence. In the evening, Swami moved down the aisle and around the verandah in His chair before Arati at six o'clock.

This evening, devotees from Ooty presented a drama. Bhagawan came onstage just before six o'clock after spending half an hour in the interview room. Their presention was in the form of a street play on the story of Markandeya, presented in folk style. The hour long program concluded with Bhagawan coming down from the stage and Blessing the participants with group photographs. He also Blessed one of them with a large chain. He then moved towards the ladies' side and Blessed the Badaga ladies with clothes. Then men too received clothes before Bhagawan accepted Arati and returned to His residence at 7.30 pm.

This evening, the final year students from the Brindavan campus of the Sri Sathya Sai University presented their "gratitude programme" - a series of short talks and skits in various languages interspersed with songs, offering their love and gratitude to Swami before their final exams. Bhagawan arrived just before 5 o'clock and the programme got underway when He came onstage after His darshan round. Many of their songs spoke of their love for their Mother Sai. At the end of their programme, they pleaded with Swami to come to Brindavan, saying that He had not come there for 19 months. Bhagawan gave a chain to one of the presenters, and walked down from the stage to take group photographs with the students. Later, He returned to the stage and had another set of group photos, getting laddoos distributed to them. They sang a bhajan and then Swami accepted Arati before returning to His residence at 6.30 pm.

Bhagawan has been having long evening Bhajan sessions - on Monday, the Bhajans went on for 90 minutes. Today too, Arati was at 6.20 pm. On many days, Swami has been going out for rounds in His car in the mornings. Today He had gone for a drive at around 9.30 am. In the evening, He did not come to Sai Kulwant Hall till the Arati was over. At around 6.40 pm, when only some of the students were in Sai Kulwant Hall, He came there in His car, took a round while they chanted Vedam, drove through the Ashram in front of the Canteen, and returned to His residence at around 7 pm.

This evening, the Maharashtra Chief Minister and the Andhra Pradesh Governor had come to have an audience with Bhagawan. Swami came to Sai Kulwant Hall at 3.40 pm, and sat for a brief while near the stage area as the Vedam went on. Then He went into the interview room, emerging after twenty minutes to go out towards the ladies' side in His chair. There, He interacted with the Anantapur students, taking letters from many of them. They also sang a couple of songs for Him. He then returned to the interview room before coming later to the Bhajan Hall for the evening Bhajans.

The 800 strong Chinese contingent from Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Peoples Republic of China celebrated their New Year in Sai Kulwant Hall this evening. Beginning with a procession from Bhagawan's residence at 4.10 pm, as Swami came onstage after completing a round of the Hall in His chair, Lion Dancers came centre-stage with a short presentation, Sai Kulwant Hall reverberating with their drums. SSEHV children from Malaysia and Indonesia presented Chinese hymns, followed by presentation of various items to Bhagawan and an address by Mr. Billy Fong of Malaysia, the New Year celebrations co-ordinator. Traditional Chinese Instrumental music followed, presented by devotees from Indonesia and the People's Republic. A half-hour drama was the final presentation, bringing out the virtues of Truthfulness and Filial Piety in Chinese legends and a recent true story in Malaysia. After the drama, Swami came down from the stage and Blessed the participants, granting them group photographs. Ten minutes of Bhajans followed a song by the Chinese devotees once Swami came back onstage, concluding with Arati at 5.50 pm.

Chinese devotees have been decorating Prasanthi Nilayam over the last two days for their New Year celebration. This evening, Tibetan monks chanted mantras in Sai Kulwant Hall. Beginning with the offering of the traditional scarves and the Buddha Dharma text to Bhagawan at 5.30 pm, the chanting continued for 45 minutes, concluding with an offering of merits for the benefit of all sentient beings. Bhagawan accepted Arati and returned to His residence at 6.30 pm.

This evening, the Adilabad devotees presented a drama "Sri Sai Vaibhavam". Bhagawan came to Sai Kulwant hall at 5.40 pm, and the drama began after 10 minutes after He came onstage and Blessed various items brought up to Him by the devotees. Set in the court of King Krishnadevaraya, the drama presented the glory of Sai in verses and songs, many of them taken from Swami's Discourses. Bhagawan Blessed the participants by coming down from the stage and having group photographs with them, and also sat in the Jhoola they brought for Him. He then walked back onstage and Blessed them further, accepting Arati at 7.10 pm. Then He asked for the microphone, and while it was being arranged, went to the interview room and returned. Speaking for ten minutes, Bhagawan spoke in Telugu without translation, encouraging the good work done by the Adilabad devotees and exhorting them to do even better, concluding with the Bhajan "Hari Bhajan Bina". Swami then Blessed the girls who participated in the drama with sarees. Bhajans began by the devotees, at the end of which Swami Blessed several of the men with cloth pieces. It was nearly 8 o'clock when Swami returned to His residence.

2500 devotees from Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh have arrived at Prasanthi Nilayam on their Parthi Yatra. This evening, the Adilabad devotees presented a musical programme. The songs got underway just before five o'clock after Swami came onstage finishing His darshan round in the car. After a few devotional songs, a visually challenged singer sang some classical songs like Thyagaraja's "Ra Rama Intikidaka". Bhagawan Blessed one of the performers with a chain before accepting Arati at 6.20 pm.

There have been no special programmes at Sai Kulwant Hall over the last few days. Bhagawan arrived for darshan at 8.30 am and 4.10 pm today. He moved around in His chair through the Bhajan Hall in the morning, and outside in front of the students' blocks in the evening. Yesterday, He went out for drives both in the morning and in the evening. A large group of devotees from Adilabad are expected to arrive at Prasanthi Nilayam later this week, and they will be followed by devotees celebrating the Chinese New Year.
